Mandarin coaching
Clear pronunciation, confident speaking
and deeper Chinese reading.
For adults, professionals and curious readers.
With Yuqi Wang, a native speaker and RADA-trained theatre director.
01 / Lessons
Chinese for what
you want to do.
Start from the beginning, work through a plateau, or prepare for a particular moment. We shape the lessons around your level, interests and goals.
Pronunciation & speaking
Develop a clearer ear for tones and a more natural rhythm. We work on mouth position, sentence flow and the habits that make speaking feel difficult, then practise them in conversation.
Mandarin for work
Prepare the language you need for meetings, presentations and professional conversations. Rehearse your own material, refine your phrasing and explore how tone and context affect what people hear.
Reading & HSK 4–6
Build vocabulary and understand how longer sentences work. For exam preparation, we focus on the skills you need; for wider reading, we explore news, essays and cultural texts in depth.
Literature, scripts & speeches
Read Chinese literature closely, work through a script, or prepare a speech line by line. We connect meaning with sound: intention, emphasis, pacing and delivery.
Complete beginners are welcome. We begin with useful everyday Mandarin, pronunciation and a clear foundation in sentence structure.
02 / About
A director’s ear.
A reader’s attention.

I’m Yuqi Wang (王榆淇), a native Mandarin and Cantonese speaker based in London. I’m a theatre director, writer and actor, trained at RADA.
My work in theatre shapes how I teach: I listen closely to sound, rhythm and intention, and turn corrections into specific things you can practise. Reading and writing are equally important to me. I enjoy helping learners discover the context, humour and cultural detail behind the words.
Lessons are calm, structured and personal. You have room to try, ask questions and repeat things, with focused feedback that helps you understand what to change and why.
03 / Working together
A clear place
to begin.
Tell me what brings you here
Share your current level, what you want to achieve and when you are usually available. If you have a text, exam or presentation in mind, tell me about it.
Find your starting point
In our first lesson, we look at your pronunciation, vocabulary and sentence structure through work suited to your level. Together, we identify your priorities and a realistic plan.
Practise with a purpose
Ongoing lessons combine explanation, guided practice and personalised correction. We revisit what needs attention and adjust the material as you progress.
